Abstract

This study addresses the deficiencies in our understanding by examining the impact of Scrum on the success of IT projects. The effectiveness of Scrum methodology and software project management is also affected by project autonomy and team communication. We are examining the subsequent inquiries: Is the implementation of Scrum project management essential for project success? Is effective communication related to the Scrum project management methodology and the success of a project? In what manner does project autonomy alter this relationship? This study constitutes a first attempt to correlate Scrum with project success, employing team performance as a mediating variable. This study highlighted the importance of Scrum methodology components, including team communication and project autonomy, as enablers of project success. The findings demonstrate that Scrum improves the effectiveness of IT projects by promoting project autonomy and team communication. Several software development firms in Pakistan implement Scrum. IT professionals must possess the acumen to make informed decisions on project management. Policymakers and Scrum leaders must collaborate to devise a long-term strategy that equips teams with the necessary tools to expedite project completion while ensuring continuous adaptation.
